Hi guys! I'm moving. My career is moving into a space where more and more people are googling me. It's hard for them to find me if I'm using a nickname. So, I'll be over here instead.
I've been slowly trying to move this blog away from hair only and into other things as well. Whether or not you decide to hang on for the ride is completely up to you. But I would be honoured if you did.
It's Friday! I hope you all have a wonderful wonderful wonderful weekend!

Ibiza, Travel, and other Daydreamings...
:)
Other things on my mind: pretty houses, beautiful waterfront properties of my dreams, and summer outside dining.

Quick Update
My hair is growing! Yay! That's kind of self-explanatory, since it would take a whole lot for hair NOT to grow. Anyhoodles, I've found that using bobby pins in the front really creates a cute style. This picture doesn't show it much, but I have a part to the side and used 4 or 5 pins to do a little twisty thing in the front. I just grabbed a few sections, twisted loosely then pinned. It's a cute summer style.
Thanks ladies for all the suggestions for beach hair. I used gel, I used a hair tie, and sometimes I just left it alone. It was great! I had a fun time in Miami and the beach was perfect. See!
Have a happy long weekend everyone!

Beach Hair: What do you do with yours?
The beach. I'm going to it. I've been a little too reliant on gel lately and I want to look awesome without it, because quite frankly, I'm not bringing a mini tub of it to the beach. O_o
I also have short hair. Dunno how that will play out on the beach. I was thinking about using a hair band.
Any recommendations? Are there any products or hair accessories you've used while at the beach?

My New Friend
Black protein styling gel. Yes, it can be a little too crispy. But if you mix it with some moisturizer, it gives you some beautiful curls. Been using it for a week now and it's making things much easier. No more checking in the middle of the day for white gel flakes. The Kiss My Face is still on my counter, but it's just sharing the number one spot for now.

I'm Back + Summer Time Colours
Hi everyone. I'm back. Thanks for the well-wishes. It was nice to spend time with family. It was a real West Indian funeral where the house was packed and everyone was up all hours of the night every night for nearly 2 weeks, playing music, celebrating his life, cooking food. It was good to be with family. The service itself was well attended, to the point where people were standing outside the church, in the hall, in the isles. He was well loved. I wasn't as close to him or his side of the family as I should have been. I was always too young, too shy, too all the way on the other side of the city. Insignificant things, now that I think of it. Large age differences can do that, and that's just how it is sometimes. But everyone was loving, even if we didn't know each other. He would have loved it.
These past few weeks I've been rethinking everything. Some times I do take things for granted. I'm planning on changing that.
But as I said, I'm back.
It's been a rough year. Last year wasn't so grand either. So it's time that I look forward to summer. I need the sun, badly.
Here are some more colours from OPI that I got:
Left to right: Gargantuan Green Grape, Brights Power, Alpine Snow, Havana Dreams, I'm Wired.
If only I had the time post all the stuff I bought this weekend. The colours are so bright, I nearly blind myself. Retail therapy is in full effect.
Countdown to South Beach begins now. I'll be sure to blog about it.

Cancer Sucks
Birth is a beginning
and death a destination
And life is a journey:
From childhood to maturity
and youth to age;
From innocence to awareness
and ignorance to knowing;
From foolishness to desecration
and then perhaps to wisdom.
From weakness to strength or
from strength to weakness
and often back again;
From health to sickness
and we pray to health again.
From offense to forgiveness
from loneliness to love
from joy to gratitude
from pain to compassion
from grief to understanding
from fear to faith.
From defeat to defeat to defeat
until looking backwards or ahead
We see that victory lies not
at some high point along the way
but in having made the journey
step by step
a sacred pilgrimage.
Birth is a beginning
and death a destination
And life is a journey;
A sacred journey to life everlasting

To my older brother, who passed away last week from cancer, I smile when I think of you. I always assumed I'd have more time to spend with you, so I delayed everything, of course.
